Be There – Do IT

Hertsmere Borough Council have teamed up with a group of us at Bushey Meads to task us with designing, developing and promoting things we and our peers want to do throughout the summer holidays. We’ve been giving up our lunch breaks over the last few months to work with Fiona Paul, Youth and Projects Officer at the council to design a programme that helps beat summertime boredom for young people living and attending schools in the Bushey area.

Despite the success that has been achieved in previous years, the council is keen to make sure it’s running the types of activities young people actually want. That is why a group of students have taken the ideas of  over 250 Bushey Meads students who were surveyed back in March and planned three brand new activities which will appeal to a wide variety of young people.

One of the Activities

Lastly the three activities will consist of:

1)      A multi-sports event held in Bushey Meads

2)      A trip toThorpePark

3)      A trip to adrenaline high

I hope to see you there and of course good luck with the competition.
