Executive Principal’s Blog – 21 October 2016

At the end of a hugely busy but very productive first half term at Bushey Meads School, it was superb to welcome so many of our Year 7 parents and carers to the school yesterday for our very popular Year 7 Curriculum Evening. The highlight of the evening for me was seeing the majority of our Year 7 students performing in the Year 7 Orchestra and hearing the whole year group sing a number of inspiring songs on stage.

The superb presentations and varied performances that took place in the Main Hall showcased the brilliant work that our Year 7 students have completed across all curriculum areas so far this term. Some excellent displays of work were provided by each faculty in the School Restaurant area and parents and students took the opportunity to enjoy the refreshments and admire the quality and creativity on show. epb20161021-2

Today our Year 7 students have enjoyed a fitting end to their first half term at BMS with a whole year group trip to Kidzania.

Another powerful event that took place this week was our Year 11 Revision Evening and, with half term next week, our Year 11 students are being strongly encouraged to start revising for their really important Pre-Public Exams (PPEs).

I would like to thank all our hard working staff, students, parents, Governors and Trustees who have all contributed to making the start of this academic year so positive. As always do click on the link to read this week’s BMS News highlighting some of the other things that have been happening this week…….
