Executive Principal’s Blog – 26 September 2014

For many of us who work in education alongside hard working students striving to achieve their very best, there are occasionally those ‘moments in time’ of real inspiration. On Tuesday morning I was privileged to visit Stoke Mandeville National Stadium, home of the very first Paralympic Games in 1948 and witness some of our superb Bushey Meads students competing at the highest level in the National Junior Games taking place from Monday to Thursday of this week.

I would like to congratulate all the students who participated – many of whom were rising to the challenges in a whole range of sports and achieving personal bests in the highly competitive events. I would also like to thank all the staff who went and looked after them and supported them through the week’s residential experience. Already many students and parents have joined with me in thanking them for really ‘going the extra mile.’

An all-round truly inspiring and unforgettable experience for all involved! Do click on the link to read this week’s BMS News highlighting some of the other things that have been happening this week…….
