Executive Principal’s Blog – 2nd February 2018: Working together and supporting each other

As we draw to the end of another busy week that has presented some challenges in terms of the adverse weather conditions, I would like to thank all the staff for their real commitment to the students at Bushey Meads School.

Not one of the 30 000 teacher-student contact hours of the week was lost; at such a crucial time in our students’ education with PPEs, daily revision sessions and ongoing preparation for the forthcoming GCSE and A level exams, it is something to be really thankful for.

Every morning a full risk assessment and site walk has taken place to ensure the health and safety of the school community and each member of staff has played their part in getting to school safely and supervising all the students in our care.

In particular I would like to publically thank our site team and in particular Mr Campion, Mr Mottram and Mr Napier who have worked tirelessly to ensure that paths and walkways have been cleared and gritted on a daily basis. We have all appreciated their hard work to keep the school up and running.

I would also like to thank all the parents and carers for the part that they have played. Here’s hoping for more spring-like weather next week!
