Executive Principal’s Blog – 8 January 2016

I would like to wish all students, staff, parents, Governors and Trustees a very happy new year and every success for the Spring Term 2016. On Thursday afternoon this week our hardworking Year 11 students gathered in the Main Hall for their Pre Public Examination Results afternoon. This was a real ‘moment in time’ for them to reflect on their achievements to date and make very important plans for the next few months in the lead up to the real GCSE exams in May and June.

Without exception the Year 11 students took the proceedings very seriously and were having powerful conversations with each other and the staff who were there, acutely aware that there are now just 75 school days to really make a difference to their final GCSE grades – grades that will secure their all-important futures in the superb Bushey Meads School Sixth Form.

Besides experiencing what it will be like on Thursday 25th August when they collect their real GCSE results, they took time to reflect on how best they can use the time between now and then, visualising what they want to achieve at Sixth Form and beyond.

With best wishes for a good weekend and don’t forget to click on the link to read about the rest of this week’s BMS News……..
