A warm welcome back to everyone from the Easter break – let’s hope winter is well and truly behind us and we can look forward to some seasonal summer term weather ahead!
The Easter holidays are always a busy time for Year 11 and Sixth Form of course, with public examinations rapidly approaching. Throughout the break Bushey Meads was busy with various revision classes taking place for these students and I am pleased to report that as with previous years all these classes were very well attended. This additional tutoring can only assist those students in attaining their full potential when they sit the actual examinations in May/June. We do not charge for this provision and we are one of very few schools to offer this during school holidays.
In addition, this week Year 11 parents/carers are being invited in to meet with our Key Stage 4 team to discuss revision techniques to support their children during this critical period.
Of course our younger year groups are also having internal examinations as part of the programme to prepare them for future years whilst we are using these results to monitor progress of your child.
Hence this term’s main focus is one of examination success and I am sure I can count on your support at home to provide the appropriate environment and support your child needs to succeed at this important time.
I wish every one of our students every success.
