Are you an enthusiastic and dynamic primary or secondary trained English Teacher?

Would you like to teach English across KS2 and KS3?

Teachers’ Main / Upper payscale (London fringe)

If so, why not consider joining our school?  From September 2019 we would like to appoint an inspirational English Teacher who would like to teach the subject at KS2 and KS3.  The successful candidate will join our highly motivated English KS2 – 3 Team across the Trust and will be keen to try new ideas in supportive environments within both the primary and secondary phases. You will be part of a dynamic team looking at strengthening the transition in English from KS2 – 3, working alongside our Lead Practitioner for KS2-3 English and the English Leaders at Hartsbourne and Little Reddings Primary Schools.

You will primarily be based at Bushey Meads School where the English Faculty is committed to attaining the highest standard in teaching and learning and encourages all to ‘Aspire to Achieve’.  The Faculty itself is led by an experienced and dynamic Head of Faculty who is ably supported by a forward thinking team, including an outstanding Lead Practitioner.  It has excellent resources and students have access to our recently built Learning Resource Centre to support their learning.

Applications are welcome from NQTs and also from more experienced colleagues who are looking for a change.   For anyone considering returning to teaching you will be fully supported back into the classroom.  We offer excellent NQT support including a bespoke programme of training and mentors and there are excellent opportunities for professional development.

Bushey Meads School is part of the growing Bushey St James Trust and is a great place to work.  The school is ranked within the top 10 most popular schools in Hertfordshire (School Guru) with its popularity still rising.  We have strong links with both local primary schools where good practice and ideas are shared across the Trust.  Transport links are good with the M1, M25, A1 and A41 being close by and local bus routes are only a short walk.
