Extended Curriculum

Over sixty varied extended curriculum clubs and activities run each week after school and at lunchtime, providing a rich, diverse and personalised range of experiences, a selection of which are showcased in the galleries below.
 Art clubs are a popular lunchtime activity 

Students get the chance to work with clay as well as paints and to develop photography and photoshop skills too.

 Every week the PE and Health Faculty run a range
of extra-curricular sports clubs and practices at lunchtime and after school 

The school also takes part in competitive sports fixtures in a wide range of sports.

 Various dance clubs are held on the sprung floor of the theatre-style hall during the week 

These allow students to develop and practise their own speciality or explore different aspects of dance.

These often focusing on events happening at that particular time, leading to major performances and show.

 Music activities fill each lunchtime and after-school opportunity 

Boys’ and girls’ choirs, orchestra and band practices, and an ‘open for practice’ ethos in our wonderful music block cater for all interests.

 A range of weekly STEM clubs explore those fields in a fun setting 

Students can take part in science club, computing club and clubs in fashion textiles and technology.

 Activities to suit all tastes 

More clubs are offered i n many other subjects. Some, like the games club, are purely a recreational way of spending time meeting new friends, while the Learning Resource Centre provides the perfect supervised space to study and get ahead with home learning and independent study. There’s plenty to do outside of the buildings too, with many enjoying the astroturf and the table tennis facilities.
