HR Manager for BSJT

If so, due to succession planning, we are looking to appoint a suitably experienced full-time HR Manager to lead on all aspects of HR within our innovative multi-academy Trust.  The successful candidate will manage the day-to-day HR administration across the Bushey St James Trust (BSJT) and will provide advice to the Executive Principal, Headteachers and wider teams in the Trust.  The role is based at Bushey Meads School and, as HR Manager, you will lead on recruitment, sickness absence management, HR policy and managing HR information plus the monthly payroll input and checking.

We are looking for someone who has:

  • A strong professional working knowledge and experience of HR
  • Experience of leading a team and supporting as appropriate
  • The ability to gather information and evidence appropriate decision making skills
  • An understanding of the recruitment process ensuring compliance with safeguarding legislation
  • Experience of working in an HR /Business Manager role within a school (this is preferable)

The post is ‘all year round’ working 37 hours per week (excluding unpaid breaks) Monday to Friday, 8.00am to 4.15pm.  The salary offered to the successful person will be based on experience, knowledge and skills and is in the range of APT&C point 32 – 38 + fringe.  (£35,745pa – £41,881pa + £898pa fringe).  There is the possibility of additional remuneration for an exceptional individual.  A handover period will be available.
