On March 7th 2019 a 1 day Section 8 Ofsted Inspection took place at Bushey Meads School. Three Inspectors visited the school and their final report is a superb endorsement of the outstanding work of all students, staff, parents and carers and Governors and Trustees over the last 3 ½ years. Whilst the school remains good, the short inspection identified sufficient evidence of improved performance to suggest that the school may be judged outstanding if it received a full 2 day Section 5 Inspection now.
During the inspection the Lead Inspector considered that there is sufficient evidence of strong practice and marked improvement in performance in specific areas to believe that Bushey Meads may be judged outstanding under a Section 5 Inspection. Their report letter paints a very positive picture of our superb school; please click on the button below to access the full inspection report.

27 February 2012
Inspection of Bushey Meads School, Bushey, WD23 4PA
As you will remember, inspectors visited your school just after half term; we were very impressed by your outstanding behaviour and the levels of courtesy and respect for one another that you displayed. Your attendance has risen and is currently above average. Well done! The quality of teaching you receive is often good and sometimes outstanding. As a result, standards and achievement have risen steadily over the last few years and currently you are making good and sometimes outstanding progress. The school’s leadership team has made a good contribution to securing the improvements to the school in recent years. I have asked the headteacher to bring about further improvement by ensuring that teaching is consistently good and that the remaining variations in achievement are addressed. I look forward to hearing about your future success.
Yours sincerely David Jones Her Majesty’s Inspector (on behalf of the inspection team)”
