The school prides itself on being an inclusive mainstream comprehensive school where the care and support offered to students with SEND is second to none. The school has a specialist unit designated for students with physical and neurological impairment which has been recognised locally and nationally as a centre of excellence. These students are at the heart of the school and are fully integrated into the curriculum and given appropriate academic support and guidance. Their inclusion fosters a caring and empathetic ethos throughout the school. Many of these students have significant, specialist needs, some of which are life threatening/limiting. Year on year the curriculum is specifically tailored to meet the students individual needs.
