Executive Principal’s Blog – 10.7.26: ‘A School Community to Be Proud of’
This week we have held a number of really inspiring events that have really made us very proud of all the wonderful students and hard-working staff that make our school community such a positive environment for learning and achievement.
The annual Sports Day on Tuesday was a real celebration of inclusive participation, as well as individual success and achievement. The drama performances on Tuesday and Meads Fest on Wednesday saw the very best of young BMS talent on display in two lovely supportive events.
Enrichment Day on Wednesday was a busy, engaging and productive day and the Year 6 Transition Day on Thursday was a real success and provided such a positive start for our new Year 7 cohort for September.
This week it was also great to hear from Dame Rachal de Souza, the Children’s Commissioner for England and hear that over 110 students from Bushey Meads School have taken the time to respond to her national survey The Big Future:
I want to say a huge and heartfelt thank you for taking the time to share the survey and get your pupils’ voices hard. It is crucial that I hear from as many children as possible in every school and college, in every community, across the country. Thank you for helping to ensure that the voices of children and young people at your school are heard before the summer holidays. Yours sincerely, Dame Rachel de Souza, Children’s Commissioner for England
If you didn’t get a chance to complete the survey and would like to as a student (or parent/carer on behalf of a student) please do so via the link below:
