Executive Principal’s Blog – 11.3.22 ’Inspiring BMS Students’
It is often our students who provide the daily inspiration for all those connected with Bushey Meads School and sometimes this inspiration is the culmination of sustained, ongoing effort and achievement, a character trait we strongly value within our learning community. Epitomising this, it has been a real honour to present two Year 10 students with a prestigious Executive Principal’s Award; this award being at Level 8 of our rewards ladder, worth 30 achievement points.
Since October the two students, Lottie and Emmy, have given up many hours of their free time to support and coach the netball team at Little Reddings Primary School. They have willingly shared their expertise, passion and enthusiasm and have helped develop the team to be able to take part in matches and competitions over recent months. Through their efforts the netball squad has grown in popularity and all pupils involved have benefited from their commitment. The girls have even gone out of their way to develop their own umpiring skills by practising with the Year 9 netball team at Bushey Meads. They truly deserve the award, presented to them earlier this week, for their outstanding contribution to the local community; they are an inspiration to others around them.
