On Thursday of this week it was a privilege to welcome Spencer Lewis, the experienced Headteacher of Yavneh College, to Bushey Meads School and share with him some of the exemplary work that is taking place, not only within our fantastic school, but also across our innovative Multi Academy Trust. On a tour of the school he was clearly impressed with the teaching and learning and focus of the students in all classrooms. He also learned much from our focus on exemplary marking and feedback to ensure outstanding progress.
Success at BMS continues to be achieved at all levels and this week we were delighted to hear that our application for continued ‘Healthy Schools Status’ has resulted in us being recognised as a leading school in this area and one that qualifies for additional funding towards our very successful programme. I would like to congratulate Mr Cartledge our hard working, dedicated and inspirational Head of Faculty for PE and Health for this great accolade and ongoing success.
On the subject of sport I would also like to congratulate our very talented Year 10 rugby team who train with Mr O’Kelly and wish them every success at next week’s County Final, taking place on Wednesday afternoon at Old Albanians Rugby Club in St Albans. The boys have achieved so much already in reaching the final of this prestigious county wide competition – beating some very tough opposition along the way. Come on Bushey Meads!!!
On that note may I wish you a happy weekend and don’t forget to click on the link to read about the rest of this week’s BMS News……..
