Executive Principal’s Blog – 12.7.24: Celebrating Ending on a High!As we head towards the end of another academic year, we are looking forward to welcoming as many parents and carers as possible to our prestigious end of year Prize Giving Assemblies on the last two days of term to which all parents and carers are invited. Do check our recent communications for the timing of each year group assembly. This week has once again epitomised the really strong ethos of the school – to ensure that all our students enjoy their learning at BMS and really Aspire to Achieve. This week our hard working and dedicated staff at the school have: - organised and supported four hugely successful year-group Sports Day Events on Monday and Tuesday (do click on the links below to get a taste of the really positive atmosphere)
- been entertained by our talented drama students performing a selection of short plays and an abridged version of the powerful play The Crucible on Tuesday evening
- facilitated an inspiring ‘Cultural and Making Memories’ Enrichment Day on Wednesday
- hosted 210 Year 6 students for their Year 7 Transition Day on Thursday
- welcomed their parents and carers to our annual Year 6 Parents Information Evening on Thursday evening
Next week in assemblies we will be reminding students of our Get Ahead and Progress (GAP programme) at Bushey Meads. As parents and carers, do discuss this now embedded summer holiday initiative and encourage your children to complete all their GAP tasks to be able to start the new academic year on a really positive note and also gain the opportunity to take part in the GAP Rewards Trip (last year to Thorpe Park).
