Executive Principal’s Blog – 13.6.25 ’Positive Parental Engagement’
It has been so lovely to welcome groups of parents from each year group in the school every morning this week and be able to talk to them over some refreshments in the School Restaurant from 8.00 am. We continue to welcome ideas from parents as to how we can further improve the school and have appreciated the positive feedback and new ideas. The parents then sat at the back of the raked seating in the Main Hall and watched their child’s year group assembly led by different members of the Pastoral Team exploring the important theme of Motivation.
On Wednesday evening many of our Year 12 parents also attended the hugely important annual Next Steps Evening hosted by Assistant Headteacher Miss Silla. She was joined by two fantastic external presenters who gave the students and parents so much good advice about Higher Level Apprenticeships and applying for University and how to navigate the UCAS and related financial processes.
So many of our Year 12 students are making plans for such exciting futures beyond Bushey Meads and we wish them all the best as they continue their studies, take their end of year examinations, go on University Open Days and start to craft their personal statements and applications.
