Executive Principal’s Blog – 14.11.25: ‘Remembrance Day at Bushey Meads’
On Tuesday 11th November our whole school community fell silent for the traditional two-minute silence held on Remembrance Day each year to reflect and consider all those who have given their lives in past and present conflicts. It was a poignant moment to also be very thankful for the relative peace we all enjoy and work hard to maintain in our school and local communities.

Students and staff stood around the quadrangle at the heart of our school outside C, F and G Blocks to hear The Last Post being beautifully played by Edie in Year 8.  Other classes opened their windows to hear her trumpet playing resonating across the school site, or stood or sat quietly in their classrooms as a mark of respect.

It was one of those moments to be really proud of the respectful way that the students behaved and see our whole school community coming together. As always do click on the link to read this week’s BMS News highlighting some of the other things that have been happening.

With very best wishes for a good weekend.
