The annual Year 6 Transition Day is always such an exciting moment and this year was no exception. Seeing all 200 excited, slightly nervous, new students to BMS sitting on the theatre raked seating in the morning assembly, full of hope and expectation for a bright future with us over the next 7 years was quite inspiring!
In the evening their parents joined us for an excellent and informative meeting that really outlined the school’s expectations and the way in which parents and carers can effectively support their children to make the most of our strong, positive, caring, inclusive culture and ethos at our wonderful school. I would like to thank Senior Pastoral Manager Miss Dhanecha and Assistant Headteacher Mrs Wright, ably supported by Mrs Jackman and Mrs Smith (amongst many other hard working staff) for organising our exemplary transition process for Year 6 students this year, culminating in yesterday’s event and evening meeting.
It has been a hugely busy week at the school in so many ways and I would like to thank all the staff at BMS for making it such a success. With best wishes for a lovely weekend and don’t forget as usual to click on the link to read about the rest of this week’s BMS News……..
