Executive Principal’s Blog – 17 June 2016

Students at Bushey Meads continue to excel and reach their true potential in all areas of school life and this week it was the turn of the sports stars to shine. At the highly competitive District Sports event Year 10 athlete Chris Osei finished 1st in the 100m and 2nd in the Long Jump. Not only that but he was a real ambassador for the school; his behaviour was exemplary and the PE teacher from another school, who was officiating the long jump, went out of his way to say how polite he had been throughout the competition.

Students at school have continued to access all their excellent classes and revision sessions in preparation for their Key Stage 3 End of Year Exams, Year 10 Pre Public Examinations (PPEs) and GCSE, AS and A2 public exams and are fully engaging with our current, whole-school focus on detailed marking and feedback and purple pen student responses.

I would like to thank all parents and carers for their ongoing support for our work, both in and out of school, and for encouraging all your children to make every effort to succeed. Don’t forget as usual to click on the link to read about the rest of this week’s BMS News……..
