It has been another busy week at Bushey Meads School and this week has been particularly busy with a very positive visit from Ofsted for a Section 8 Inspection of our wonderful school taking place on Tuesday of this week.
As parents and key stakeholders you played an important part in the very robust inspection process that took place – now falling under a new, even more rigorous, inspection framework (updated as recently as September 2015). I was delighted that so many of you took the time to complete the Parent View online questionnaire that informed the inspectors about your very clear opinions of the school. Over 280 of you participated and the positive feedback given is well worth a read via the link below:
Our hard working and committed Governors also played their part and supported the excellent evidence for Leadership and Management of the school and the key and essential roles that they play in this area – so a big thank you to the Governors. In addition our hard working students and dedicated staff were superb as per usual and were a credit to us all.
I am pleased to report that the inspectors’ initial findings are extremely positive and that, whilst the full inspection report letter will not be published for another 2 weeks and until then remains confidential, it will reflect the many very good and outstanding features of our school and will be one that makes us all very proud.
The three inspectors enjoyed meeting so many students, staff, parents, governors and a representative from the local authority personally and asking questions about our fantastic school. At the end of the very thorough inspection, they made so many positive comments about the exemplary students in this school – their conduct, effort in class, behaviour in and around the school and in lessons and their desire to achieve as best as they can.
Thank you once again for the important part that you all played. Do enjoy the weekend and don’t forget to click on the link to read about the rest of this week’s BMS News……..
