At the end of a hugely busy, but very productive first half term at Bushey Meads School, I would particularly like to thank and congratulate all the new staff who have joined our school in September, especially our newly qualified teachers. Without exception they have all made an incredibly positive contribution to our learning community and have already added much to our great school.
Over recent years we have recruited so many superb staff to join us here at BMS and they have been an integral part of the school improvement journey that is taking the school to the next level. We certainly ended on a high today and saw our lovely Year 7 students enjoying a fitting end to their first half term at BMS with a whole year group trip to Kidzania.
Another powerful event that took place earlier this week was our Year 11 Revision Evening and, with half term next week, our Year 11 students are being strongly encouraged to start revising for their really important Pre-Public Exams (PPEs).
At the evening there was a big focus on the challenges of studying science at GCSE and I would like to thank all the hard working science staff for their major contribution to the evening and for providing all the superb resources for our students to help them in their studies.
Finally I would like to thank our students, parents and carers, Governors and Trustees who have all contributed to making the start of this academic year so positive. As always do click on the link to read this week’s BMS News highlighting some of the other things that have been happening this week…….
