Executive Principal’s Blog – 24.1.25: ‘Increasing Engagement’
Many of you will have received a daily reminder this week to complete the Parentview survey which we promote as a school every year. We appreciate the time it takes to complete the survey and would like to thank the 420+ parents who now have taken part. The reminders this week have increased participation by over 93% so a huge thank you!
This week it has also been lovely to receive so much positive feedback from parents following the Ofsted Inspection which took place last week and the daily requests to participate in the survey. A couple of the many received included these emails:
Good morning. Following your email yesterday, I did complete the Ofsted questionnaire. I personally know that your school and the staff are trying their best. It must be difficult to please everyone but my son he is enjoying his lessons and your teachers are amazing. Thank you and I hope you have a lovely day. Kind Regards, Year 7 Parent.
I understand the stress the school teachers and admin staff are going through. I have filled in the survey. Good luck with everything. There are things that can definitely improve but my son feels safe, is focussed on studies and comes home smiling and happy and that is what matters most. Regards, Year 10 Parent.
The school now plans to hold a number of key stakeholder engagement events to unpick further some of the parental views and, more importantly, generate ideas together to improve aspects of our provision for all students at the school. Do look out for the dates of these which will be published in the coming weeks.
I would also like to congratulate all staff and students involved in yesterday evening’s amazing GCSE and A Level Dance Showcase Event. Most schools don’t offer dance on their curriculum and, if they do, at most only employ 1 dance teacher. At Bushey Meads we have 3 exemplary teachers and we are incredibly proud of the superb work they do.
