Executive Principal’s Blog – 27.2.26: ‘Great Opportunities’
We continue to work hard to provide great opportunities for staff and students alike, epitomised by this week’s inspiring Annual Staff Conference and last week’s Annual Ski Trip to the Italian Alps.
On that note I would like to thank the staff who accompanied this year’s trip and enabled all those who took part to have such a fantastic time abroad. Mr Harris, the trip leader informed me that the ski instructors had commented that: “The students were among the most courteous, respectful, and delightful they’ve ever taught.”
He himself added that “They praised the behaviour, conduct and willingness to learn and improve of all students as a huge highlight. The students themselves found themselves progressing on much more challenging slopes over the course of the week and experienced all weathers from windy to snowing to bright sunshine. It was the first time in the last 11 years we have been to a new resort, and the whole thing was a hugely positive experience.”
I would also like to thank all staff involved in organising such a successful Staff Annual Conference which took place on Monday and Tuesday of this week. Day 1 of the conference was led by Lead Practitioners Ms Atchuthan and Ms Druce and her colleagues on our Teaching and Learning Team and had a focus on ‘Thinking Deeply’ and provided time for staff to articulate the impact of this in written blogs created during the morning by all teachers.
Our hardworking Associate Staff had the opportunity to develop their use of AI as a powerful tool to create even greater efficiencies in their work across the organisation and participate in Exam Invigilation Training and sessions related to Finance and HR, IT and Site Developments and Timetabling and Data initiatives.
At the end of a very positive week I would like to wish you a happy weekend; do click on the link to read about this week’s BMS News…….
