Executive Principal’s Blog – 28.3.25 ‘Great Feedback About BMS Staff and Students’
Our students continue to be exemplary role models in and outside of school. Last Sunday a group of our immensely talented dancers performed in the prestigious venue of the iconic Royal Albert Hall and truly showed a level of performance normally associated with professional dance companies. We received much positive feedback about the event and the staff and students involved. On that note, I would like to thank the many parents, carers and members of the local community who do take the time to contact the school to pass on their appreciation, thanks and positive messages about our superb students and staff. Here are a few examples received over the past few weeks.
Feedback About BMS Students on Work Experience
We were delighted to welcome a group of Year 10 Work Experience students from Bushey Meads into our school this week, many of whom were once pupils at Merry Hill! It was so lovely to hear them say how much they enjoyed being back, reminiscing about their time here and marvelling at how much smaller the school seemed, realising just how little they must have been back then! They quickly made a positive impact, naturally connecting with the children. It was wonderful to see them intuitively bending down to the children’s height during conversations, listening intently, and responding to their interests with enthusiasm. We loved sharing what it’s like to work with children, guiding them in listening, responding, and extending learning through meaningful interactions. A huge thank you to all our work experience students for being so fabulous this week—you’ve been an absolute credit to your school! Emma Stephenson, Office Manager
Dear Mrs Patel, Emeka was with us last week for work experience and I just wanted to feedback on how well he did. He was extremely polite and professional from the moment he emailed to ask for work experience. He was then extremely diligent while with us and created some fantastic posts/work. He engaged with the team and we were really impressed with him. I hope this can be passed on, and we wish all the best to Emeka in his studies moving forward. Kind Regards, Ruth Office Manager, Wagada Digital
Feedback About Recent Extra Curricular Events
Miss Joannou, A huge ‘Thank You’ to you and Miss Barker-Dunhill for going above and beyond today. Getting into central London for 8.00 am on a Sunday is dedication in itself! It was a long morning of rehearsals but I have to say, when it was their turn, the BMS students all came into the dance space looking calm and in control. Both dance routines were really captivating. Great work! And most importantly, it was clear they were all enjoying themselves. What a great opportunity – not many people can say they’ve performed at the Royal Albert Hall! I hope they all behaved just as well for you back stage too! Thank you again for all you and the dance team do for our students! Year 11 Parent

Dear Mr Harris, We wanted to drop you a quick note to extend our huge appreciation for all your hard work, time and effort in organising this year’s ski trip. Our son had the absolute best time – nearly as good as me watching it all unfold on Instagram and life 360°! please extend a huge thank you to all staff on the trip and everyone involved in making it happen. Real life memories were created, we are very grateful to you all. Kind regards, Year 11 Parents
A few parents and carers have also contacted the school this week to enquire about the Ofsted inspection that took place at Bushey Meads earlier this term. A quality assurance process follows any inspection and is still being undertaken. As soon as we hear any news or receive the report we will obviously let all stakeholders know.
