Executive Principal’s Blog – 3.12.21 – ‘Promoting Positive Links’
It was a real privilege to welcome Colin Daniel, the Chair of the Governors at Mount Grace School in Potters Bar to Bushey Meads School this morning. His school is a school that I have had the opportunity to visit over the last two weeks and one that has a very similar ethos and culture to our own learning environment here at BMS.
As we continue to promote positive links with other schools in the local area, we recognise that there is always something to learn from each other’s experiences. This morning it was lovely to show Colin around our wonderful school and I was really proud of all the great staff and students who spoke to him about their significant contribution to the school and their learning.
He was very impressed with what he saw and really appreciated the warm welcome from everyone he spoke to.
Today was a special day in school as our hard-working Year 11 students experienced sixth form taster lessons and spent their break and lunchtime in our inspiring Sixth Form Centre – really feeling what it was like to be a student in an outstanding Sixth Form. Many of them I’m sure will continue their journey at the school over the next two years and will no doubt excel in their learning and go on to great things beyond our school community.
As always do click on the link to read this week’s BMS News highlighting many other activities that have taken place. With best wishes for a good weekend.
