On Wednesday of this week it was a privilege to welcome David Kilgallon to Bushey Meads School and share with him some of the exemplary work that is taking place, not only at Bushey Meads School, but also across our innovative Multi Academy Trust.
With over thirty years’ experience working in education, covering a wide variety of roles and responsibilities (including many years of teaching in schools across Greater Manchester, headship experience in both the secondary and special school sectors and work in the field of school improvement) David currently is the Strategic Lead – Secondary for Herts for Learning, the well-respected School Improvement Service based in Hertfordshire.
During his visit to our wonderful learning community he met a number of key staff, commented very positively about the new developments to our learning environment and clearly saw the focus on raising achievement and aspiration that is now well embedded within our learning culture.
In these quite challenging times in education collaboration is key to increasing capacity and creating success and, as I explained to David, the Bushey St James Trust provides a superb platform to work alongside Miss Simmonds and her senior leadership team at Little Reddings Primary School to continue to strengthen the excellent practice and culture of sharing which is helping to shape our future in the local community. Continued investment in both schools is providing a successful setting for all our learners to thrive in and achieve their potential.
On that note may I wish you a happy weekend and don’t forget to click on the link to read about the rest of this week’s BMS News……..
