Bushey Meads Sixth Form provides a challenging yet supportive learning environment for all students. It offers a culture of high expectations and opportunities for learners to participate in a broad range of courses in the traditional academic disciplines and in vocational studies. Students will be provided with the opportunity to develop independence and responsibility for their learning in the desire to allow all students to maximise their potential.
Sixth Form students are given the opportunity to develop their personal talent for learning and all Sixth Form students act as ambassadors for Bushey Meads School within the local community and across the wider Bushey St James’ Trust. It is expected that all students make a positive contribution to the wider school community through our ‘Kindness Matters’ programme.
It is assumed that when a young person chooses to enrol at Bushey Meads Sixth Form, they are doing so in order to pursue meaningful qualifications through exemplary levels of behaviour and attendance. As such we expect all students to have a positive record of appropriate and dedicated behaviour for learning in their studies at GCSE and school attendance above 96%.
