On Friday 1st May, 42 students from years 11 and 12 visited the city of Oxford for the day. The purpose of the trip was to raise student aspirations and realise that gaining a place at one of the worldâs top universities is a possibility. The day started with a tour from a guide who explained the history of Oxford University, discussed famous students and professors or âfellowsâ who attended Oxford, how you apply for a place and how you learn. Following a picnic lunch on the meadow outside Christchurch College, we then visited the Ashmolean Museum, a museum of Art and Archaeology for the afternoon.
