Today we visited the caves of San José. We travelled along the underground river by boat and on foot and saw all the amazing limestone formations. The guides spoke only Spanish so our students learnt lots of new vocabulary as well as some amazing facts about the history of the caves.
We then went back to Valencia and visited the central market where he students practised their fruit and vegetable vocabulary in preparation for Thursday’s quiz.
After a quick visit to the Bella Arts Gallery, we saw many beautiful works including those of Velazquez, we returned to the hotel for a quick turn around before heading off to a Valencian village for our paella cooking session.
The paella evening was a great culinary experience although only a few students opted in for rabbit which is popular in Valencia where rabbits are not kept as pets. We had great fun cooking together and learning how to make a perfect paella.
It was then back to the hotel where most students watched the England match and later went to bed happy with their day but little disappointed with the football result.
