Jack Welch stated that ‘Before you are a leader success is all about growing yourself, when you become a leader success is about growing others’. With an estimated net worth of more than £600 million and a background of being a successful chemical engineer, business executive, author and Chairman and CEO of General Electric between 1981 and 2001 (when the company’s value rose by 4000%) his words are perhaps worth considering.
As a school we are privileged to see our own students start on this journey of growing as leaders, developing those important traits within themselves which will undoubtedly stand them in great stead for exciting and successful futures beyond Bushey Meads School – taking them to amazing places all around the globe.
This week our outstanding Student Leadership Team led the Main School Assemblies and truly inspired everyone present – staff and students with their wise words, motivational quotes and powerful, personal illustrations. Our students really do make our wonderful school and we are very proud of them all!
