Executive Principal’s Blog – 11 November 2016

This week has been another busy week in the life of the school and it was privilege to welcome so many current Year 11 students and their parents and carers to our annual Sixth Form Open Evening on Tuesday of this week. With nearly 60 external students from other local schools also attending with their families it was another indication of our real success at this level and strong recognition of the growing popularity of our superb school.

Whereas many local schools are limiting their course offer, at Bushey Meads Year 11 students now have even more choice of curriculum pathways at Post 16 and even more chance of success as they prepare to take their next steps beyond school to apprenticeships, the world of work and those top university places many of them are aspiring to.

On Thursday of this week we held another one of our exciting Enrichment Days and saw many students taking the opportunity to participate in a whole range of extremely varied, in-depth ‘deep learning’ activities, as well as participate in a number of exciting trips and visits. I would like to thank all the hard working staff and students for making the day such a success.

As always do click on the link to read this week’s BMS News highlighting many other activities that have taken place…….
