Executive Principal’s Blog – 13.12.19: ‘A new day at BMS each morning!

On Tuesday of this week the Christmas Soiree provided a superb evening of festive entertainment which was warmly appreciated by many students, staff and parents and carers from across the three schools within our Multi Academy Trust.
Our congratulations go to our working Head of Music and Music Coordinator across the Bushey St James Trust Miss Brown, and music teachers Ms Fort and Mr Gray who rehearsed and coordinated the excellent performances, involving so many of our talented singers and instrumentalists.

Here is just one of the many emails of congratulations I received after the event:
Good morning,
Thank you so much for all the hard work that you put into the Christmas Soirée. Both my daughters absolutely loved performing and it was wonderful to see so many children enjoying themselves. Aside from this, I was really impressed with the talent and standard of work shown. It’s also hard to believe that Mr Gray has only been at the school for a few weeks, he seems to have a huge amount of trust and respect from the students. I’m looking forward to seeing more performances. Thank you all again for a fabulous job!

On Thursday it was also brilliant to see so many students wearing their Christmas jumpers in main school assembly in the morning and as a school community together raising a significant sum of money for charity, then later in the day enjoying one of best Christmas dinners ever prepared by Alex our Catering Manager
and his outstanding catering team at Bushey Meads School.

As I said in assembly on Thursday morning each day at BMS is always a ‘new day’ – always busy and focussed on learning and achievement but often full of fun; it’s what makes the school such a great place to be. This sense of a new day dawning was perhaps epitomised by the beautiful sunrise picture captured on camera by our hard working Art Technician and Display Coordinator Chloe Bedford earlier in the week.
