Executive Principal’s Blog – 20.5.22: ‘Maximising Those Opportunities’
As we head into our final week of this very busy half term, I would like to thank all staff at BMS for really going the extra mile for our hardworking students – particularly those who are sitting their all-important public examinations. The additional two-hour final revision sessions led by our top teachers as part of the special Maximising Achievement Timetable for Year 11 and 13 students have been very powerful indeed; students have also been making the most of the free banana ‘brain fuel’ on offer in the school restaurant and water for hydration before each exam.
Our Study Saturdays started last week with over 115 students in Year 11 and 13 attending. These continue for the next few weeks and we encourage all students to make the most of these sessions if you think that they will help you nail that extra 10%!
This week I have been inspired by some of the new Year 6 students we have talked to in our Year 6 induction interviews, conducted by members of our Leadership and Pastoral Teams – students aspiring to become top mathematicians, those talented in the arts and sporting arenas and even those who already speak two languages fluently! We look forward to them joining the BMS family in September.
