Executive Principal’s Blog – 20.9.24: ’A Superb Showcase Evening’
It was so nice to welcome so many visitors to our school for our annual Year 6 Open Evening yesterday. So many of them commented about the very positive culture and atmosphere across the school and the superb students and staff they met.
A big thank you goes to all our wonderful student tour guides and Head Girls Amy and Ruby who spoke so eloquently in the Main Hall, as well as Brody in 7 Ash who had the confidence to stand up in front of over 600 people and speak positively about his first few weeks at Bushey Meads. Larry in Year 11 also performed brilliantly on the piano to set the atmosphere at the start of the proceedings.
American business coach Abhishek Ratna, recognised for his wisdom and passion in the whole realm of coaching for success, is quoted as encouraging others to “Showcase your work, achievements and performance in the best possible manner.” Yesterday evening was one of those ‘moments in time’ for Bushey Meads School when this powerfully happened.
Over the next few weeks we will also be welcoming many hundreds more visitors for our Open Mornings and tours of the school – a great way to see the school in action on a typical day. A huge thank you to all the hard-working staff and students for making our annual Open Evening such a success.
