At the end of a hugely busy but very productive first half term at Bushey Meads School, it was superb to welcome so many of our Year 7 parents and carers to the school yesterday for our very popular Year 7 Curriculum Celebration Evening. The highlight of the evening for me was seeing the confidence that all the student presenters and performers had to take part with such skill on the main stage.
The superb presentations and varied performances that took place showcased the brilliant work that our Year 7 students have completed across all curriculum areas so far this term. Some excellent displays of work were provided by each faculty in the School Restaurant area and parents and students took the opportunity to enjoy the refreshments and admire the quality and creativity on show. The event ended with the 60-student strong Year 7 Singing Group performing two songs that they have been practising in lessons over the relatively short time of just 6 weeks – it made for a great end to a joy-packed evening.
