Executive Principal’s Blog – 24.6.22: Coming to the End of an Era!
I would like to thank the 200 parents and carers who have so far contributed to the online Parentview questionnaire. If you haven’t yet been able to do so, please click on the link below to give your views:

I would also like to thank and congratulate our superb Year 11 and 13 students who are coming to the end of their external GSCE and Post 16 examinations. Our Chief Invigilator has praised them for their exemplary conduct and effort throughout this really intense time, stating that they have been the best cohort he has ever known in terms of their attitude to learning and cooperation throughout the exam season. We look now forward, as always, to their well-deserved Leavers Assemblies and Proms taking place next week.
The gratitude that many parents and carers have shown for the hard-working staff at the school who have supported the students in their care through one of the most challenging chapters in the history of education has been quite overwhelming. Our Year 11 and 13 students have arguably been the hardest hit by the pandemic – certainly in terms of their education and preparation for their exams.
The pandemic continues to challenge all schools as we strive to emerge out of this transitional period but, on behalf of all the staff, I would like to sincerely thank parents and carers for their emails, cards and generosity which mean so much. Some of the lovely and heartfelt phrases used in the many messages received include:
“wonderful staff”, “a special thank you for all your help”, “wonderful TA’s for all their hard work”, “commitment and dedication”, “valuable TAs”
………which accurately describes so many staff at the school.
Many thanks once again; may I wish you a lovely weekend. As always do click on the link to read this week’s BMS News.
