Executive Principal’s Blog – 4.9.26: ‘The exciting journey continues…’ This year again, we are immensely proud of this year’s A-level and GCSE results, which continue to speak of a great school and one that continues to improve year on year. Students on both results days celebrated some outstanding successes, marking the culmination of another year of excellent academic and personal achievements for students at the school. Many of our Sixth Form students have gained places at some of the most prestigious universities in the world, including UCL, St George’s, Kent, Surrey, Exeter, Loughborough and Nottingham, to name just a few. Others are starting exciting higher-level apprenticeships with a number of leading global institutions. Our Sixth Form continues to grow significantly in popularity, with many more ‘new to school’ students than ever joining, with last year’s Year 11 students staying on. As we start the new academic year, we look forward to many more celebrations of achievement at all levels. At Bushey Meads School, many students not only achieve the top grades at GCSE and A level, but also achieve great grades beyond their targets, exceeding their predicted grades by as many as 2 or 3 grades. This is something as a school we are immensely proud of – enabling many students to exceed their predicted potential and opening many more exciting doors for the future. Advice for GCSE students As parents and carers, do read through the advice of the students with your children and really encourage them to follow the Top Tips from their peers, as it absolutely works! Do also make sure your children complete all their GAP tasks set at the end of last year to be able to start the new academic year on a really positive note. With very best wishes for a good weekend.
