This week in main school assemblies we have been focussing on the theme of achievement and Mr Arnold and Mr Malik have encouraged students to think about taking risks in their learning; embracing the idea that to fail is when the learning becomes a challenge and actually, a ‘First Attempt In Learning,’ when followed with a resilient spirit and the attitude to have another go, simply brings about further improvement and progress.
On the theme of achievement the well attended Year 11 Consultation Evening on Wednesday was a huge success and so many powerful conversations took place with parents and carers to effectively support making those all important next steps, as our hardworking Year 11 students prepare for their crucial Pre Public Exams or PPEs later this term.
The week ended with an experienced Headteacher and Deputy Headteacher from a very good school in Hillingdon visiting Bushey Meads School and Little Reddings School to see all the exemplary practice going on around our learning environment and indeed across the Trust. They were really impressed with what they saw and really enjoyed meeting so many of our fantastic staff and students.
It was another reminder of the superb work that is taking place each and every day in our super school.
