Executive Principal’s Blog – 27.9.19: ‘The Importance of Personal Qualities.’
On Thursday of this week it was powerful to once again to see the clear benefits of working across a Multi Academy Trust. As three schools working closely together we were able to book an experienced school leader and Ofsted Inspector to come and lead a joint training session. The session focussed on school improvement in the context of the new Ofsted Framework and was for all Governors across our innovative and collaborative MAT. The time together was very positive and a chance to once again recognise all the great work taking place across our three vibrant learning communities.
Bearing in mind the main purpose of governance (which is to provide confident, strategic leadership, to create robust accountability, oversight and assurance for educational and financial performance across our schools) in the light of our Governors’ excellent work, I would like to take this opportunity to thank all our hard working and dedicated Governors and Trustees for their ongoing leadership and commitment to the Bushey St James Trust.
It is often said that good governance never solely depends upon systems and policies, but upon the personal qualities of those who govern; we are privileged to have Governors with superb personal qualities and their major contribution is much appreciated by us all.
