Executive Principal’s Blog – 4.2.22 ’County Recognition for an Above and Beyond Award’
Last week I was delighted to receive formal notice of a prestigious nomination from the Hertfordshire Virtual School and their Head of Education Kathryn Angelini. The nomination was for an ‘Above and Beyond Award’ for one of our Designated Safeguarding Leaders at Bushey Meads School Mrs McIldowie.
The award is given to professionals that the Virtual School Team feel have gone over and above for young people and someone they wish to commend for the approach they take to working with children in general. Mrs McIldowie was described as:
’always being an amazing Designated Teacher, so dedicated to the children in her school and someone who has always gone above and beyond to ensure the children and their carers are supported appropriately and well looked after! Nothing is ever too much to ask for and she always comes to the key meetings prepared and often with new ideas of ways to support the young people.’
They wanted to thank her for being so dedicated and described her as someone who is ‘an absolute pleasure to work with!’ It was a great nomination for someone we really appreciate here at Bushey Meads and so thoroughly deserved.With best wishes for a lovely weekend and, as always, do click on the link to read this week’s BMS News.
