Executive Principal’s Blog – 9.6.23: ‘What an Amazing School!’
Just before the recent half term holiday we were honoured to welcome the Director for Education and Skills across Hertfordshire, Hero Slinn to our school. She spent time meeting students and staff and enjoyed a tour of various classrooms and dropped in on a number of inspiring learning activities taking place, as any typical day at our school.
She also toured our £1.3 million development of A Block – opening in September 2023 as a Specialist Resource Provision and newly refurbished Modern Foreign Languages Suite. She commented at the end of her visit in our Visitor’s Book
She also spoke during her time at the school about the quiet calm and purposeful atmosphere across the school site and the commitment and hard work of all teachers and learning assistants. This was reflected in her formal email of thanks received by the school this week

Thank you so much for arranging the wonderful visit to your school before half-term. I particularly enjoyed the opportunity to meet with the children, who spoke so positively about their experiences and their education at Bushey Meads School, and to see the fabulous developments with the building for your new SRP.

As our hard-working Year 11 and 13 cohorts continue to sit their all-important external examinations, don’t forget the fifth Study Saturday takes place this week from 10.00 am to 2.00 pm in the LRC.
